Person behind the Analyst
THE FULL STORY
A career full of creativity, perseverance, deadlines, and a fast paced corporate environment
I started my career straight out of grad school with my MBA looking for an employer to take a chance on me like anyone else. I was fortunate enough to have had two great offers on the table upon graduation. Since starting my Workday career, I was the only analyst on a team of four employees, where three held the title of HRIS Manager. Within my first year of employment, two of the HRIS Managers had left the team. It came down to the lead HRIS Manager and myself to drive the department forward.

This was a pivotal moment in my career, one where I seized the opportunity to further prove myself. We managed to get through the coming months until we could grow the team further and poised the team into a proactive state of work instead being reactive due to the volume of requests and projects on hand. Through this process, I have been taught and shown what servant leadership truly is. My manager empowered me to be successful by giving me the tools necessary to be successful while building me up along the way. I attribute much of my career success to the earliest days in my Workday career. Historically every opportunity I have ever had to shine and showcase my skills, I've eagerly done so and impressed my peers. When someone left the team, inherently management has looked to me to jump in and take the lead because of my knowledge in Workday and reliability.

The team has know grown to 10 employees in total now and we are positioned well with an aim towards the future. Leading a team of three analysts has allowed me to hone in on my management fundamentals that my MBA has provided me. I lead by example and provide training at every turn. Whether that's recording my training, creating guides, or discussing items on calls. Additionally, I have become a member of the Customer Sharing Movement on LinkedIn. This is an incredible group of Workday professionals that get together to assist each other and share knowledge freely. It's a reason I truly love being in the Workday ecosystem.
